So, it’s strictly recommended to backup the files that are stored on your device to make sure that something wrong doesn’t happen with your device.
Install Android 4.0 ICS Aura ROM on Galaxy Y S5360
- Download ICS Aura ROM for Galaxy Y from — here.
- Connect your Galaxy Y to your computer using the USB Cable. After the device is connected, transfer the downloaded file to the root of your Y’s SD Card.
- After the transfer is completed, remove your device from your computer and turn it off.
- Boot into recovery mode now by pressing and holding Volume UP + Home + Power buttons together and wait after that.
- A exclamation mark will be in front of you now. Press and hold the Volume UP + Power Button and you’ll get into recovery.
- Select the “update from SD card” option and then select the ICS Aura ROM file that we had transferred earlier on the device. Installation of the ROM will start now.
- After the installation is complete, your device will reboot.

I don’t know what’s the problem with this firmware. I would recommend you to install Jelly Bean Blast firmware on your Galaxy Y.

This is a unknown thing happened with you, I tried flashing it on one of my friend’s website and it did work. Flash Jelly Bean Blast Custom ROM on your device for some time, till then we’ll check a suitable ROM for you.

tried jelly bean bro… rooted my phone then did all procedure like backup.. on cwm..clear cache and all after that update the jelly bean on it but still stucked and its not even restoring from the backup i made …

Perform data wipe using recovery mode.
Common mistake people make is not to “Wipe data and Cache” after install custom ROM, due to this the mobile would go into a boot loop. Dont panic, go into cwm recovery mode and wipe the data and cache and reboot.

brother i guess the rom is for a specific baseband…. pls mention it here so that others dnt end up in boot loops and bricking their phones. i guess it is not for indian users. indian users do not use this rom. instead search for jelly blast v3. it is the most stable rom but yet it does have some bugs. overlooking those the rom is just perfect.
there are some apps in my rom may be 60-70 mb but it has taken 170 mb so how can i clear my rom.
if there are any application to clear the rom then notify me about it’s name or give me the download link of video so that after seeing that video can get the instruction to clear unnecessary rom mamory.

Perform a factory reset if that doesn’t work, install some good Custom ROM.
