It was reported previously by some Galaxy S3 users that their device is refusing to turn on, actually the problem is caused due to a motherboard failure. Some users said that the problem occurred when the phone is left idle for a long time.
Samsung hasn’t made any official statement about the culprit of the problem, but they have confirmed that this issue is only limited to “small number” of 16GB Galaxy S3 variants. So 32GB or 64GB variant users need not to worry about anything.
Dutch Samsung representative Anne ter Braak said that the problem is limited to a small number of units and that a fix will be out as soon as possible. According to the representative, the issue is due to a firmware bug that can be solved with a minor update. Like other updates, it is expected to be an OTA update. – NDTV
This is all due to a firmware bug in the Samsung ROM, Samsung will be rolling out a software update really soon to fix this this problem. There are no words on the release date of the update, but we can expect it to come really soon via OTA.
Those who are facing the problem can move into to the nearest Samsung service center and get their devices exchanged or repaired, this is the only solution as of now.

I9300XXELLA Update for Galaxy S3 Reportedly Fixes the "Exynos 4 Bug" and "Sudden Death" Issue
[...] we had reported that Samsung is working on a fix for the Galaxy S3 sudden death issue, it was not confirmed that the I9300XXELLA update would fix the issue or not, now it’s [...]
my s3 eats a lot of RAM and after that i sold it its specs says it has 1GB but shows 768 MB and free 140Mb and sometimes 250MB
There’s no problem in your S3 using too much RAM. All the Operating Systems using Linux use Catching: Which means that they keep many of the applications running in the memory so as to make them launch faster. As for your S3 using having only768MB RAM, you need to know that all the RAM which is not shown is being used by the Graphics Chip so as to do the 3D rendering. If any requires more RAM than your actually have free, the Operating System will automatically close all the ongoing processes so as to get more space.
Don’t worry about low RAM, there is no need.
