I8190NDXALL5 Android 4.1.2 Firmware update has started rolling out for Galaxy S3 Mini users in Malaysia. The update can be installed by using the inbuilt OTA functionality on the device or Kies software on your PC. If both of these doesn’t work for you, then installing the firmware manually would be the best possible way.
The update is official, so there won’t be any problems, you won’t lose warranty of your device either. We’ll be using Samsung’s Odin to flash the firmware on the device, we’ve summed up a detailed step-by-step tutorial to update the device. Make sure that you backup all important data stored on your device.

This is all development stuff, and in this tutorial we’ll be flashing the file in order to make it work on your device, rooting and flashing stuff voids the warranty of the mobile phone, but the warranty can be always retained by flashing the Stock ROM.
Backup everything that is stored on your device before proceeding with this tutorial. You can use our ADB Backup Guide or Nandroid Backup Guide (Root users) to back up everything that is stored on your device. Install DXALL5 Firmware on Galaxy S3 Mini I8190N
Step #2: Extract both packages that you’ve downloaded. Move the files to a convenient location of your computer.
Step #3: Turn off your Galaxy S3 Mini and now boot the same into download mode. Press and hold Volume Down + Power buttons together and wait for the boot.
Step #4: Connect your device to your computer while its in download mode and now start the Odin tool on your computer.
Step #5: Run Odin on your computer, select the files from the extracted folder as shown below:
- Click on ‘PDA Tab’ and select the file having ‘CODE’ in it’s name.
- Click on ‘Phone Tab’ and select the file having ‘MODEM’ in it’s name. Ignore if there isn’t any file with this name.
- Click on ‘CSC Tab’ and select the file having ‘CSC’ in it’s name.
- Click on ‘PIT Tab’ and select the .pit file. Ignore if there’s isn’t any.
Step #6: Tick the Auto Reboot and F.Reset time checkboxes under the odin window and start the process of installation by pressing the START Button.
Step #7: Wait for the installation to complete, after the installation is complete, A pass message would come up with green background under the Odin window. Remove your device after you’re able to see it.
That’s it. You’ve successfully completed the installation of DXALL5 Firmware on your Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini device.
