Samsung Galaxy Note 2 users can enable Mass Storage / MTP / UMS Mode on their devices using a small APK file that was earlier used to enable the same function on Samsung Galaxy S3. Luckily the same application does work in the Note 2 device as well, but the bad part is it doesn’t mount the internal memory of the device. The application works for devices running on Jelly Bean 4.1 too.
Enable Mass Storage Mode on Galaxy Note 2
SGS3 Easy UMS is an application that was released by some developer at XDA some time back which did serve the purpose of mounting the external storage of the device. The same works for Galaxy Note 2, I think due to the similar firmware structure and hardware specs.
Download SGS3 Easy UMS from here.
I think we can mount the internal storage of the device too, but we’ve to root the mobile phone for doing that, I would recommend you to check Galaxy Note 2 Toolkit and CF-Root Guide for Galaxy Note 2 device, you can easily root your device using these two tools.
Do let us know in case you come up with any difficulties while rooting, installing this application on your device.
